The term «cult hero» was practically created for Anton Barbeau, whose surreal yet melodious psychedelic guitar pop bears the stamp of predecessors like XTC, Syd Barret, Julian Cope and Robyn Hitchcock. Since 1994, he has released a steady stream of acclaimed albums and has collaborated with members of The Soft Boys, Bevis Frond, Cake and Elf Power, among others. Now he release an electrified version of his song ‘Beautiful Look’ within the Caveman Remake Series exclusively for Lucinda Records.
